Easy Chicken Divan

 


Chicken Divan is one of my favorite foods. My mom gave me this recipe and every time I make chicken divan I think of her. Compared to the traditional recipe, this recipe is much easier and takes only about 30-45 minutes, and is just as good.

6 boneless skinless chicken tenderloins
2 10 1/4 oz. cans cream of mushroom soup
Skim milk (1/2 soup can)
12 oz. frozen broccoli cuts
6 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. butter
2 cups white rice
Dash of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt & pepper


Season chicken with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt & pepper

Cook chicken until done and brown

Cut chicken into big slices

Add lemon juice and butter to frozen broccoli and microwave in a large bowl for 6-7 minutes or until cooked

Empty the soup cans into a large bowl

Fill one of the soup cans half way with skim milk

Add milk to soup and then mix

Spray a casserole dish with non-stick spray

Add sliced chicken, soup mixture and broccoli to the casserole dish

Mix until evenly distributed

Top with shredded cheddar cheese

Bake in a 375F oven for 30 minutes or until cheese has a slight brown

Serve over white rice (follow rice cooking instructions to cook properly)
