Grilled Lobster Tail

I love seafood, but the thought of cooking it was intimidating to me. The funny thing is, seafood is really easy, and quick to cook! I was nervous to screw it up because of the price (as you know seafood is not cheap!). I started with shrimp and graduated to other seafood, such as the lobster tail you see above. If you enjoy lobster this is an easy, good recipe, and the grill really brings out the flavor.

2 split frozen Maine lobster tails
2 Tbsp. salted butter
Dash of garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt & pepper

Thaw lobster tail by running under cold water

Using scissors cut a slit down the back of the tail from the top all the way down to the start of the tail fan

Melt butter and then add seasonings to butter and mix

Brush both sides of the lobster generously with the butter/seasoning

Grill on medium-high heat (meat side down) direct for about 5 minutes

Flip and cook an additional 3-4 minutes

(To avoid the lobster from curling you can always skewer the lobster tail prior to cooking)
